Acai is a berry, native to Central and South America. This berry is known for its high amount of antioxidants, which is great for radiant skin and anti-aging.

The beauty of acai bowls is the different ingredients and toppings that you can use. The possibilities are really endless! I always use a base of almond milk, frozen acai packet, frozen banana, and coconut nectar. In this particular recipe, I also added cacao powder and hemp seeds.

My favorite crunchy topping to add is raw cacao nibs. These little guys are SO tasty and SO healthy. Organic raw cacao contains 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries and more calcium than cow’s milk! If that’s not a reason to add cacao into your life, then I don’t know what is.

Blueberry Cacao Acai Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Almond Milk
  • 1 Frozen Acai Packet
  • ½ Frozen Banana
  • ¼ cup Frozen Blueberries
  • ¼ Avocado
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Plant-Based Protein Powder
  • 1 Tbs Cacao Powder

Toppings

  • Banana
  • Blueberries
  • Cacao Nibs

Instructions
 

  • Add almond milk, acai packet (run under hot water to thaw slightly), frozen banana, avocado and cacao powder to blender .
  • Blend on high until creamy .
  • Spoon into a bowl and add toppings.
