This delicious Mint Chocolate Protein Smoothie is absolutely delicious and packed full of healthy ingredients like plant-based protein powder, chia seeds, cacao powder, and spinach.
I always use:
- 1 1/2 cups of liquid – either almond milk, coconut milk, coconut water, or a combination of the two
- 1 cup frozen zucchini – this makes the smoothie super thick
- 1/4 cup fruit – typically Acai since this is a naturally low sugar fruit
- 1/4 cup greens – usually frozen spinach
- 1 TBS fat -avocado or chia seed gel
- 1 scoop plant-based protein powder – my personal favorite is Sun Warrior Vanilla
If you haven’t tried coconut water, I highly recommend it! It is especially great for post-workout recovery. It is high in potassium (necessary for muscle repair), magnesium, and antioxidants. One of my favorite brands is Amy and Brian’s Coconut Water. l love how their products are 100% natural and never from concentrate. This is so important! You want to make sure you’re getting the real deal. Amy and Brian’s is also a family-operated company, so they have extremely high standards when it comes to the quality of their products.
