If you want to drive more traffic to your website, get your offers in front of more people, and spend LESS time on social media, you’ve come to the right place. Pinterest is my #1 driver of web traffic and it only takes 1 hour of work each week. Keep reading and let me teach you how!
Why Pinterest?
This might surprise you, but Pinterest is a search engine, NOT social media. That means it is a searchable platform and has as much SEO potential as a traditional search engine like Google. People are actively searching on Pinterest for inspiration. Your ideal client is on Pinterest searching for what have to offer right now! If you’re not tapping into the power of Pinterest, you’re leaving money on the table.
Pinterest Strategies
Create Content That Leads to Clients
People come to Pinterest for inspiration. If you’re a health coach and offer meal planning solutions, your ideal client is already searching for recipes and food tips to inspire them on Pinterest.
Make sure you focus on creating content that draws in your ideal clients and allows them to imagine working with you. The earlier you can start to build trust with your audience, the better! You will quickly become their go-to resource and when they’re ready for more personalized support, they’ll want to work with you.
Position Yourself as an Expert
Did you know that “how-to” pieces of content are the most pinned content on Pinterest? Write a list of 10 topics that you can write a solid how-to article on and go do it! It’s important to keep your ideal client in mind and think about what they want to learn from you.
The most effective ways to teach your audience are often through freebies and blog posts. Make sure you are asking for their email address in exchange for your freebie! Growing your email list is extremely important and often overlooked. Using Pinterest makes growing your email list a piece of cake (as long as you have a really good freebie!).
Email list building is important because you can continue the conversation off of Pinterest and build trust before they’re ready to buy from you.
Prioritize Building Relationships
I had a mentor tell me once that “relationship = currency”. Meaning, your relationships with your audience and future clients are just as valuable as money. Without relationships, you won’t have a business. It’s invaluable to connect and relate to your audience. People want to feel seen and understood! Consider ways you can infuse what makes you different in your Pinterest presence. Change your profile picture to a smiling photo of you, and connect with followers by commenting and replying on Pinterest. You might be surprised that people love connecting with YOU, not just what you sell online. As a coach, your coaching is YOU. People are interested in the person behind the coaching, not the little details of the program itself.
